Over Earth Under depicts an ordinary day in the life of siblings. Photo by Jacob Due. Over Earth Under by Theresa Maria Jessing.
Jessing is a trained illustrator, has published several books, and is a skilled and innovative craftsman. In addition, Theresa is a trendsetter with a unique ability to convey the meaningfulness of topics such as the eco-trend, time for reflection, and the value of low material consumption. In short, she is able to summarise, in pictorial form, the big question that increasingly excite and engage today’s society and especially young people.
Theresa is already known to many, but for something completely different than paper. Theresa Maria Jessing is the wife of farmer Frank Erichsen and lives at Kastaniegårde, which DR’s TV viewers have followed closely for the past 10 years. In the exhibition “Over Earth Under”, Theresa creates a marvellous narrative world that inspires both young and old - a world in paper that shows a whole new way of looking at the interaction between humans, animals, and nature. The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture’s funds.
